THE ROTARY DORSET BIKE RIDE CHARITY SPORTIVE EVENT

60, 50, 30, 20, 10 mile routes

The bike event for all the family catering for the serious biker, the casual rider and also for children.

Date: Sunday 1st September 2013

Location: Bovington Tank Museum,

Bovington, Wareham Dorset BH20 6JG

Cost: £13 for adult and £5 for children under 16.

Sponsorship/Fundraising: Everybody is welcome  but it would be great if you could raise at least £50 in sponsorship:

• Raise at least £50 and you will receive an electronic photograph signed by Victoria Pendleton
• Raise at least £75 and you will be entered into a prize draw for a framed Cancer Research UK       T-shirt signed by Victoria Pendleton.
• Raise at least £100 and you will be entered into a prize draw for 3 prizes of £50 vouchers to be spent at Cyclexperience of Wareham
• Raise at least £400 and you will be entered into a prize draw for a bike worth £400 donated by Cyclexperience of Wareham

Check in & Registration Opens: 9.00am or earlier depending upon numbers.

Start Times: 50 & 60 mile 10:00, 30 mile 10:20, 20 mile 10:30, 10 Mile 10:40.  These times may vary depending upon numbers entered.

Entry on the day? Yes (cost is £20 for Adults £5 for children) if the event is not sold out

Routes: There will be the following circular routes(click on the route for a map):-

10 miles, 20 miles, 30 miles and 50 miles. You can also do 60 miles by doing the separate routes of 50 and 10.

All routes are mainly on country lanes.

Plus Optional Off Road section.

This year we have included an optional off road  section through Wareham Forest on the 20, 30 and 50/60 mile routes. Click here for approximate route.

Hire a Bike for the event for just £10 click here

If you do not have a bike or it is not road worthy, Cyclexperience will  either repair it for you or hire you a bike and offering a special discount for those entering the bike ride.

Make a fun day of it for all the family! If some members of your family are not riding, they could visit the Tank Museum (Group discount available via the Organiser) or Monkey World (5 minutes away) while others ride.

Welcome to the Rotary Dorset Bike Ride for Cancer Research UK.

• The Rotary Club of Wareham organised this event in 2012 for the first time and raised nearly £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.
• The event was a great success with over 350 entrants and the feedback from the riders was excellent. See feedback

• We are planning for the event to be bigger and better in 2013 and we hope to raise to raise over £30,000.
